Detailed merchant account review

I switched our business over to Aacadia Payments for credit card processing and a new EMV terminal. The initial contact was responsive, and they explained the pricing structure well. The setup for the merchant account took about 5 business days, which felt reasonable. The EMV terminal arrived a few days after the account was live. Integration with our existing software was mostly seamless, though we had one small hiccup with a specific card type that their support team helped resolve quickly over the phone. Funds deposit consistently, usually within two business days. The fraud protection tools seem robust, which gives me peace of mind. Overall, a solid experience that delivered on what was promised.

Easy setup, quick service

I got a merchant account here. Setup was straightforward. Got my account activated in about 3 days. Works as expected for credit card processing. No issues so far.

Decent service, minor wait

I moved my B2B payment solutions here. The discounted processing rates were a big plus, saved us a good bit. Setting up the recurring billing services was fairly easy. My only minor gripe was that getting a hold of someone in support took a little longer than I'd hoped one afternoon, but they did get back to me. The system itself has been reliable, and funds clear on time. Good value overall.

So happy with my POS!

The restaurant payment system I got is fantastic! It handles everything smoothly. My staff picked it up super fast. This totally changed how we do business. Will definitely get more services from them!

Reliable for high risk business

I've been using Aacadia Payments for a while now, this is my third year with them. They handle my high risk merchant account, which isn't easy to find reliable service for. This latest renewal, I upgraded my retail POS hardware. The transition was smooth, just like my previous account updates. They're consistent with their support and the systems rarely go down. It's why I stick with them; I know what to expect and they deliver.

Does Aacadia Payments offer any kind of free trial or a waived setup fee if you're a new merchant? Trying to keep initial costs down.

T Tara P. 2 months ago
Yeah, I got a waived setup fee when I signed up last year. They often run those kinds of promotions, especially if you're new.

They don't really do 'promo codes' but those waived setup fees or even free terminals are pretty common. It's usually just applied when you talk to them and get a quote, no special code to enter anywhere.

how long does it take for money to hit your bank account after a transaction? need to make sure my cash flow isn't messed up.

J Jared 1 month ago
Mine usually deposits within a couple of business days. Pretty standard, I think.

It's pretty quick. My experience is 1-2 business days for most transactions. If you process on a Friday, you'll likely see it Monday or Tuesday, which is typical for payment processors.

how do these guys compare to square or stripe? looking for something for my online store but also need in-person options sometimes.

R Renee Torres 2 months ago
I used Square before Aacadia. Aacadia's rates were better for my volume, and they seemed more tailored to businesses rather than just a one-size-fits-all like Square. But Square is simpler for super small operations.

They're definitely more focused on custom solutions than Square or Stripe, especially if you have specific needs like high-risk processing or need more advanced POS systems. Rates can be lower too, depending on your business type. Stripe is great for pure e-commerce but Aacadia has better in-person tech sometimes.

Thinking of switching to Aacadia for my small retail shop. What kind of hardware do they usually give you or that's compatible? Need something reliable for in-store sales.

From what I remember when I signed up, they usually have options for different terminals, especially EMV ones. I got a pretty standard one that works with contactless payments too.

They've got a decent range. I think they can integrate with most retail POS hardware. Best to ask them directly what works for your specific setup, but they do handle all the credit card machine stuff.
